February Junior High WYR in words and pictures

This past weekend's retreat was a blast. We had a great group of youth and sponsors here who jumped in a tried it all. Here are a few pictures from the weekend. I will put more up later in a future post.
Phillip Borkholder came by to demonstrate some ice fishing. Many took advantage of him being here and trekked out on the ice some were prepared, some not so much but that's part of growing up.
Emmaus Group from Bethany provide input thru song, story and dance on Saturday morning. A new venture, they did a wonderful job and fit right into what our speaker was doing.
When our speaker, Marc Schlegel, broke out 30 eggs for a demonstration. I didn't know what to think, but his point of listening to God, making mistakes, and still being able to clean up was worth it. He challenged the youth to be a part of writing the story and joining in with God's story. To do this he, gave each group $40 of seed money to take home and put to writing a story of service using their gifts and passions to meet their communities needs. Stay tuned to see what happens!
Kent had every one up and moving as part of worship, not always an easy thing to do to.
Jess and the party animals, I mean Program assistants. Kara, Alisha and Hannah. They made sure that everyone had a blast and they did a wonderful job.
